This recipe from scratch uses clay for colour and cleanig capabilities in an amazing hair conditioner.
Ingredients:
Phase A
- 10gm Avocado oil
- 5gm Jojoba oil
- 25gm Conditioning Emulsifier BTMS25
Phase B
- 450gm Demineralised water
- 5gm Sodium lactate
Phase C
- 5gm Clay (Australian White Kaolin Clay for normal hair, Light Red French for damaged hair)
- Essential oil or fragrance oil to desired strength. (0.6-1.8% recommended)
- 5gm Optiphen plus
Directions:
- Place all ingredients from phase A into a double boiler and mix until melted.
- Add phase B and mix well. Use a stick blender to give a good even texture.
- When the mixture has cooled below 25ºC add the clay of choice with the other components of Phase C and mix through until everything is evenly distributed.
- Package as desired and cap when totally cool.
A suggestion might be rose geranium essential oil with Light Red French Clay.
