If you have ever wanted to make lip balm from scratch using beeswax, coconut oil, cocoa butter and caster oil  as your base this is the recipe for you.

Lip balm is a stocked product by many dry lip sufferers.  This recipe is perfect for such a need

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Over low heat melt beeswax.  Add cocoa butter, coconut oil and castor oil. remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
  2. Mix in powder colour and flavour.
  3. Pour into pot or tube and allow to set.

Makes 47gm of product which will fill around 9 tubes 5gm pots or 4 x 10gm pots.

    Refer to the flavour you are using and go with that recommended amount. The strength of flavours can vary and is best worked from the flavour not the base.

    Allow them to cool a little more before pouring. The holes in the top are caused by shrinkage
