Luxury Hand Cream

Luxury Hand Cream

Luxury Hand Cream is thick and rich for those with troubled hands needing a little more attention.

Phase 1

Phase 2

  • 400gm Distilled water (herb infused is great too)
  • 20gm Honey (optional)

Phase 3

Equipment:

  • Heat-safe mixing bowls or jugs
  • Double boiler or water bath
  • Thermometer
  • Stick blender or hand whisk
  • Sterilised jars or containers for filling

Directions:

  1. Gently melt phase 1 ingredients together to 70ºc.
  2. Heat phase 2 ingredients to 75ºc
  3. Slowly stream phase 2 into phase 1 while blending or whisking constantly.
  4. Allow to cool, blending or whisking periodically, until it reaches around 43ºc.
  5. Add preservative and fragrance of your choice.
  6. Pour immediately into steralised jars.
  7. Allow to cool completely then cap.

💡 Tips:

  • For extra healing power, try infusing your water with chamomile or calendula beforehand.

  • A lavender and rosemary blend makes a beautiful fragrance for hardworking hands.

  • Shelf life: approx. 6–9 months if stored cool and dry, thanks to the preservative.

Hi Tessa,

570gms of product is what you should end up with

Kerry Pearson

How much does this recipe make roughly?

Tessa

Hi Hailey,

If you dont want to use the honey you can leave it out completely or can swap it for sodium lactate if you prefer.

Kerry Pearson

I want to swap out the honey… what would you recommend?

Hailey M

A standard teaspoon holds about 5ml so half a teaspoon would be rougnly 2.5ml. You are looking for 1/2ml in 100ml to be half a percent. A pipette might be helpful to measure this out
