Heirloom's Rice Sand is made of finely ground rice grains, with a texture coarser than that of rice powder. This texture creates a gentle exfoliant that is preservative-free and is perfect in skin and body care products.
Our Rice Sand is best kept dry until ready for use, as rice will readily absorb water lose much of its scrubbing ability. For an easy, no-fuss product, create a dry scrub powder with clays and other additives to be stored in an air-tight container and hydrated just moments before use. If desired, it can be left on the face after use as a scrub to dry as a mask.
