Babassu Oil

Babassu oil is an exotic, nutrient rich oil derived from a South American palm tree of the same name. Seeds are cold pressed to extract a highly sought-after oil that is light weight with fast absorption and huge versatility.   When formulating for psoriasis eczema, and rosacea this oil is a must have leaving less oily residue while reducing inflammation. 

The oil of the Babassu palm is extremely high in lauric acid which adds to its anti-inflammatory properties, which can be helpful when soothing irritation, swelling, bug bites. skin reactions to allergens. 

With high levels of vitamin E, fatty acids and phytosterols this is a brilliant ingredient to include to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, minimize scars and improve cell growth to increase skill elasticity in skin.  Excellent when used in moisturising creams and lotions, shampoos and lipsticks. 

Add to shampoo or conditioner to help lock in moisture to reduce hair loss, stimulate new hair growth and prevent dandruff. When added to hair products the fatty acids will form a shield that locks in moisture creating a healthier appearance and stimulate growth. Hair strands can be strengthened to reduce hair breakage and the formation of split ends.
