Caustic Soda is used primarily to make cold process bar soap. It is the caustic ingredient needed to turn oils and water into the bar soap we know and love. Without a caustic additive oil cannot undergo the chemical reaction needed to form soap.
We have labelled ours 98% pure to allow for the absorption of atmospheric moisture.
Only 25kg bags are food grade for those who wish to use it for such purposes as we do not have food grade pack down facilities.
