Gel Candle Wax
Gel Candle Wax
Gel candle wax is re-known for making clear candles that can depict a scene, or for food candles. Bubbles in the wax reflect light through the clear medium to add a very pretty effect not available with other waxes. Gel candle wax can be coloured using colour tabs or liquid candle colours. Soap colours are not suitable for this medium. Not all fragrances are compatible with gel wax so please test prior to using for a larger candle. This gel is medium density.
- Melt over low direct heat until completely liquid
- Add additional ingredients to the gel wax at 95-105ºC
- Pour gel at 85-95ºC
- Loss of air bubbles is said to occur at 75-85ºC
- Sets up firmly at 60-75ºC
- If bubble removal is required an oven at 55-70ºC can be helpful. Secure wick before doing so to avoid sinking
Temperatures may vary - please use as guidelines only
Use a little gel to adhere the tab of the wick to the bottom of the glass and do not disturb unless absolutely necessary. Stickems may not hold up to the heat of the melted gel. This product gets extremely hot so do not touch it and do not make this style of candle with children. Not suitable for use in a microwave.

This is my supplier for my Gel Wax candles. This wax is perfect never a problem. Will always use Heirloom to purchase ny wax
Love this gel wax, I use it for myself and I use votives and lots of other candle glasses, large and small. I add shells and pebbles and scent and very little colour. Really love the bubbles, more the better as they can be seen in the clear glass. This gel burns almost double the time of votives and no black marks on the glass which can catch fire (happened to me recently). After using the gel wax i prefer to make my own rather than buy as I have not found an equivalent candle.
