It is genuinely the scent of old fashioned musk sticks. I have used this as a room spray & also as a perfume as well as soy candles scent. I get so many people asking me to make a spray up for them, they love it as much as I do. I cannot use the majority of scents due to severe allergies to all sorts of smell.
