Titanium Dioxide
Titanium Dioxide
Titanium Dioxide is a prolific ingredient, appearing in sunscreens, makeup, toothpaste and even food. This stunningly white pigment can be used as an opacifier, making your products whiter and making colours bolder. Heirloom titanium dioxide is an uncoated anastase titanium dioxide pigment with high whiteness and blue undertone. From a chemical and microbiological point of view, it is exceptionally pure. For best results, mix with water, oil or glycerine prior to addition to soap.
Use in candles may lead to clogging of the wick and poor burn results. Feel free, however, to use as an overdip for freestanding candles, or in carved candles that do not get much burn time.

This product makes my light coloured soaps transform into lovely colours. I use goat's milk which always gives a yellow creamy tint to my soaps, but with using TD, my colours are easier to keep to my intentions.
It took me a little while to get the hang of this stuff, but when you do it's fantastic at whitening CP soap. Ensure you whisk blend it or pre-mix with oil first to get rid of lumps as it can leave little spots in your soap.
