Turkish Rhubarb Root Powder Organic (Rheum palmatum)
Create beautiful warm, earthy tones in your handmade soap with Organic Turkish Rhubarb Root Powder. Unlike Himalayan Rhubarb Root, which is known for producing pink to red hues, Turkish Rhubarb creates rich honey, caramel and cinnamon-brown shades that complement natural and botanical soap designs.
This finely milled botanical powder disperses easily into soap and is ideal for makers looking to achieve warm, rustic colours using plant-based ingredients. The final shade will vary depending on your recipe, usage rate, gel phase and cure, giving each batch its own unique character.
Why You'll Love It
- Produces warm caramel, tan and cinnamon-brown tones in soap
- 100% natural plant-based colourant
- Perfect for rustic, botanical and artisan soap designs
- Certified organic botanical powder
- Suitable for cold process, hot process and melt & pour soap
Suggested Usage
For Cold Process Soap:
- Begin with 1–3 teaspoons per kilogram of oils.
- Disperse the powder in a small amount of light oil before adding to traced soap for the most even colour.
For Melt & Pour Soap:
- Mix a small quantity into a little glycerine or alcohol before incorporating into the melted base.
- Add gradually until the desired shade is achieved.
As with all natural colourants, colours may vary depending on your formulation, pH, curing conditions and exposure to light over time.
